Performance Measurement
Objectives and KPI drive behavior and culture. Therefore it is important to us that out clients and partner understand how we are measuring ourselves.
Bases on our purpose, we measure our performance holistically, meaning not only focusing on revenue, cost and profit, but considering the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Triple Bottom Line.
We are confident that if we would look not only on our direct, but also indirect impact, we would be able to show that we support ALL UN SDGs. We may decide to document this in more detail in a future version of the strategy, but for now focus on where we see a direct impact of our products and services. The UN SDGs where we can have a direct impact are framed in black in the diagram above
- 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation: Digital Twins can be used to optimize the work of water utilities, hence protecting people and the environment.
- 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy: We are working with renewable energy companies along the life cycle of their assets to optimize energy production and distribution using Digital Twins and Data Spaces.
- 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth: Monitor working conditions in global supply chains through digital technologies. Creating growth opportunity in the “green economy” through business model innovation enables by digital sustainability solutions.
- 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production: Digital solution can reduce the CO2 footprint and also waste from production. They also create the transparency needed for sustainability-related reporting.
- 13 – Climate Action: Help reduce emissions by optimize energy consumption through Digital Twins.
- 14 – Life below Water: Help to reduce waste getting into waterways, through constant monitoring for production facilities.
- 15 – Life on Land: Reduce safety incidents and protect people through digital solutions. Minimize land use and pollution of the environment, by helping with selection of locations, assets used, and material procured.
- 17 – Partnerships for the goal: Create end-to-end digital sustainability solutions together with partners.
Based on the above we could define a lot of relevant goals and objectives, but we realize that too many performance metrics will not allow us to focus. Our attention and investment would be scattered with the risk to not achieve the impact we could have. Therefore, we decided to start with a minimal set of metrics.
