Sustainable Supply Chain Framework

The INOVIA Sustainable Supply Chain Framework has its genesis in a collaboration of Plattform Industrie 4.0 and the MIT Club of Germany.

INOVIA Solution was given the exclusive right by both partners to enhance the initial framework within a parter ecosystem under the requirement, that it remains a open-source initiative. INOVIA Solutions therefore defined a commercial and non-commercial licensing model for the framework.

The goal of the Sustainable Supply Chain Framework is to accelerate the development of digital sustainablity solutions, while at the same time improving their quality. Sustainability for this framework means: Planet/Environment + People/Social + Profit/Economics, following the definition by the Triple Bottom Line, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ESG, GRI and CSRD.

The Sustainable Supply Chain Framework consists of 5 components.

The framework is build bottom up, meaning one use case at the time. The other 4 framework components are extended based on new use cases added to the library. As this is an open source initiative, everyone who implemented a sustainability use case is invited to contribute to the framework. The INOVIA Solutions team will make sure the actual solution implementation will be abstracted to a level that the proprietary IP of a implemented solution will not appear in the use case description or solution blueprint.

The MIT Club of Germany, Plattform Industrie 4.0 and INOVIA Solutions are interested in driving the use and adoption of the framework and therefore the complete INOVIA Sustainable Supply Chain Framework is available for use under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 licensing model.

For further information please contact INOVIA Solutions on iSSCF@inovia-solutions.com.

The components can also be licensed individually and the list below shows the available licensing models for each framework component.

For the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 licensing model, no separate licensing agreement is needed.

For the Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 licensing model, an additional licensing agreement with INOVIA Solutions is needed to determine the commercial terms & conditions of the license.
